About Hugh
Hugh is an archaeologist specialising in medieval and early modern England, with a particular interest in monastic and ecclesiastical archaeology. He has worked for the last twenty-five years as an academic at the University of Sheffield, has conducted a number of notable excavations and published widely in the field.
Hugh is a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of London and the Royal Historical Society, and is also a full member of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists.
